Hummingbird Feeders
Be sure to put your feeders up in early spring when the Hummingbirds are just arriving so they will find you, and want to remain in the area. You can take them down after the last stragglers have migrated through.
To make syrup that will draw Hummingbirds, do the following:
- Mix 1 Part white sugar with 4 parts water and boil for 1-2 minutes. Cool and place in feeders
You should thoroughly clean the feeders and replace the solution every 3 to 4 days. Scrub feeders with hot water and vinegar and rinse them.
