In early March, 2003, the MPCA asked that the City initiate a Community Design Plan. If such a plan were undertaken, it would be a good chance to examine opportunities for in-fill and redevelopment within the community on a holistic rather than piece-meal approach. Such an approach would also enable Manor Park residents to better define what elements of the community should be retained. Manor Park will continue to be faced with redevelopment pressures because of our location, so it would be beneficial if we could have a Community Design Plan to guide decisions.
