The Manor Park Outdoor Skating Rink is open from January to March each year, weather permitting. It is located outside the Manor Park Community Centre, 100 Thornwood Road, behind Manor Park Public School. Hockey games, recreational skating, pick-up games and fun family times make our rink very popular. An indoor changing room is open evenings and weekends thanks to the help and dedication of a rink supervisor and many, many neighbourhood volunteers. The season is enhanced by an annual Skating Party that takes place on the first Saturday of February. A hockey game, music, great food and a chili cook-off make it an event not to be missed!
We are starting to look for volunteers for the 2011-2012 skating season. Volunteers help maintain the rink's surface and help keep the rink open throughout the winter. A schedule is made up based on the number of volunteers. If you are interested in helping with the rink, please email us at mpcc@manorpark.ca or call 613-741-4776.
