High Rise Development Plan Looms Again
Jan. 2006
On February 28, 2006, Richcraft’s proposal for a 12 storey, high-rise condominium development for the now vacant Karen Way/St. Laurent site will be re-submitted to the city’s Planning and Environment Committee.

Community 150th Anniversary Time Capsule
Oct. 2005
In commemoration of the City of Ottawa's 150th Anniversary, the community will be asked to gather mementos which represent life in the year 2005. The capsule will be opened on February 15, 2055 to provide future generations with a tangible impression of life in Ottawa in the year 2005.

Manor Park Launches History Initiative

Breaking news! A new Manor Park initiative - our own local history book – is underway. This past summer, the Manor Park Community Association (MPCA) endorsed the funding of a research project to collect local historical information and documents to enable the publication of Manor Park’s history.

Beechwood Village Community Design Plan
Sept. 2005
Over the years, Beechwood Avenue suffered as a result of a divided approach to planning, zoning and development. In the days before municipal amalgamation, Beechwood formed part of the boundaries of three distinct municipalities – Rockcliffe, Vanier and Ottawa.

A HOT AGM! The future of CFB Rockcliffe Lands at Issue
Sept. 2005
The Manor Park AGM, held on Tuesday, June 7th was a "hot" event in more ways than one. Despite a beautiful, if somewhat hot and humid, evening, the meeting was well attended by residents of Manor Park and a full slate of invited speakers. Numerous groups also had tables set up to discuss a wide range of issues.
