Neighbourhood Watch
 
This is a community-based informal organization that helps neighbours to become better informed so that they are able to assist each other and to improve the security of their own homes. Watch Captains talk with nearby neighbours, informing them of issues which might affect them, and passing information about concerns on their block to the Watch Coordinator, who is a communications link with the Community Police Officer of the Ottawa Police Service.
