History

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
-George Santayana, 1863-1953, American philosopher

Though this is a rather stern warning from Mr. Santayana, it is really only a secondary goal of presenting a salient history of Manor Park. Our main goal is for you and your family to glimpse the past and understand the journey. It is to help in your understanding of how Manor Park became such a great place and to understand what our predecessors had in mind.

Manor Park has been around since the beginning of time. We don't plan to go back that far. However, as we build this part of our site, we will continue to add interesting information that takes us back at least before the turn-of-the-century.

Our promise is that we will not make this like the history book you had to study in grade 10. Our goal is to create interesting, one-pagers that contain appealing photographs of the area that we now choose to call home. We hope you find this enjoyable and we hope that you will contribute.
