The Chronicle Needs Your Help

Community support for the production and distribution of the Manor Park Chronicle has been an admirable effort since we became involved three years ago as the volunteer distribution coordinators.
It always amazes us that our enthusiastic volunteers remain faithful and energetic in picking up and distributing their bundles of papers to neighbours and friends. It is no mean feat to get 4,000 copies of the Chronicle distributed within days of publication to homes, apartment blocks, commercial establishments, churches and schools, etc.
Help Needed
It is therefore with faith that we are requesting help for a few more distribution routes in and around the Park to fill the shoes of a few of our 'departed' community members. The routes that need filling are as follows:
- From Jeffrey to Eastbourne along Braemar St.
- From Jeffrey to Eastbourne along St. Laurent Blvd.
- Along St. Laurent between Mart Circle and London Terrace
- Along Brittany Drive (east side) from Truro to Montreal Rd.
A Great Team!
We have over 52 residential volunteers and 4 commercial volunteers that distribute on various routes around the Park. Some volunteers doing more than one route and some have been delivering for over many years. The routes do not take much time as they are broken up into manageable lengths, generally taking 20 minutes to a half hour which equates to a nice evening walk in the neighbourhood. The paper is printed every second month from September to May with deliveries taking place just 5 times in a year.
It is with community spirit and support that our informative Chronicle continues to arrive at our doors and allows us to keep up to date with the news of the unique 'goings-on' in the Park.
We look forward to welcoming new members to our distribution team and encourage you to call us at 744-4019 with your donation of time.
